We recently upgraded our Ajwa to offer a more premium Ajwa. This premium type of date is the ultimate treat. Ajwa is known to be the most expensive and sought after date type in the world.
Ajwa dates have a special place in Islamic tradition. They are known to Muslims as the 'holy date' and were the Prophet Muhammed's favorite. These extraordinary dates have brown-black skin and are mildly sweet with a delightful deep sugary taste.

Are the Dates Organic?
Our dates are organically grown without preservatives or pesticide and contain no artificial material or chemicals. They are only brushed with water during inspection to remove any dust or desert debris.
It's worth noting that the boxes do not yet have the "USDA Organic Certified" sticker.

Ajwa has a very distinctive flavor different from the usual medjools found in american grocer stores. so deep. so chewy!! i love it - the best thing is it's not overly sweet!
